A refreshed contact profile, with keyboard shortcuts

Membership, notes and contact details now share one screen, and TidyHQ has keyboard shortcuts for the first time. Hold Shift on a profile to see them.

A parent rings on a Tuesday night: their daughter’s membership says expired and they definitely paid. Answering that used to mean scrolling past the membership to find the treasurer’s note, then opening another tab to check the groups. The rebuilt contact profile keeps the membership, the section you are working in and the notes on screen together.

On wider screens, notes and the activity feed get a column of their own. Notes are rich text now, the same as project discussions, and you can @mention other admins so the right person is pulled in without a separate email.

And, for the first time, keyboard shortcuts. Hold Shift on a contact’s profile and press:

  • ↑ or ↓ to move between sections
  • A to add an attachment
  • C to link a related contact
  • E to edit details
  • G to edit groups
  • M to add a membership
  • N to add a note

Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on a Mac) saves a note. Small things, but forty renewals on a Sunday is a lot of reaching for the mouse.
