Laurel Heights Garden Club
“Cultivating interest in flower cultivation and the gardening arts since 1931.”
Organisation Administrator, Administrator
The organisation
The Laurel Heights Garden Club was established in 1931 as one of several Junior League-initiated gardening groups in San Antonio, Texas. The club holds Bronze Club status and is affiliated with National Garden Clubs, Texas Garden Clubs, District VII, and the San Antonio Garden Center. Their official flower is the Texas Mountain Laurel (Sophora Secundiflora).
The challenge
Running a 95-year-old garden club means coordinating monthly meetings, seasonal events, the shop for club merchandise, and memberships — with a legacy of community horticulture and support for the San Antonio Botanical Center and junior gardening initiatives.
How TidyHQ helped
TidyHQ manages the club's memberships, meeting scheduling and minutes, event coordination, and the shop for club merchandise. The platform preserves 95 years of institutional knowledge through a system that outlasts any single board.
The outcome
Since implementing TidyHQ, Laurel Heights Garden Club has fundamentally changed how they operate.
- 1931 — Year established
- 139 — Contacts in the database
- 5 — TidyHQ features actively used
Members renew online and register for events through the same platform. The committee spends less time on logistics and more time building the community.
