Talk through a task with mentions and images
The discussion on a project task is a proper conversation now: formatting, @mentions that actually notify people, images, and a link to any single message.
We have rebuilt the Discussion tab on project tasks. Working on something together now feels less like leaving a note on the fridge and more like a conversation.
- Formatting — bold, italics, underline, quotes, code and lists, with Markdown shortcuts as you type.
- @mentions — mention people and roles to pull them in. Hover a mention to see who it is, and whoever you mentioned gets notified in TidyHQ and by email. In peak body projects you can mention people at your connected organisations too.
- Images and videos — attach with the paperclip, drag them onto the box, or paste straight from your clipboard, up to 10 MB each.
- Copy link to any message — send somebody to the exact message, highlighted in the thread, instead of telling them to scroll.
Attachments live in your Archive under Project, and anything uploaded but never sent gets tidied away on its own.
