Modulout

Sports tech agency for WordPress builds, sports data feeds, and automation — connecting fixtures, results, live scores, payments, and Telegram or Discord alerts into one website.

About Modulout

Modulout calls itself a sports tech agency, and its line is short: “We engineer the platforms behind sport.” In practice that means custom WordPress builds, live sports data, membership flows, and automation — planned, built, and run for the sports organisations that depend on them. Modulout doesn’t run your competition or hold your member records. It connects the systems that do, and builds the website where they meet.

Every Modulout integration follows the same path: source, sync, surface, alert. The source is a feed — Goalserve, where Modulout is an official partner, another sports data API, a custom endpoint, or a plain CSV, XML, or JSON file. The sync maps that data to the site’s content model, on a schedule or in real time. The surface is the pages, blocks, and admin screens a team actually uses. And the alerts go to Telegram, Discord, email, or a webhook when a fixture changes, a result imports, or an import fails. In Modulout’s words, every integration is scoped around where the data comes from and where it has to appear.

Around that sit four services: sports website and platform builds for publishers, clubs, leagues, and membership communities; WordPress development and custom plugins — including TS Login, their free WordPress.org plugin for front-end login and registration on membership sites; managed WordPress care covering updates, backups, monitoring, and performance; and fixed-scope paid website reviews for teams deciding whether to fix or rebuild. Work is scoped as an audit, a feature sprint, or a full build, in English, Spanish, or Portuguese.

The partnership

A sports website rarely runs on one system. Fixtures and results live with a competition platform or data provider. Members, renewals, and payments live somewhere else. Modulout’s own FAQ asks whether sports data, user data, payments, messaging tools, and internal systems can be combined into one workflow — and answers yes. TidyHQ is the user-data half of that answer: the club CRM that holds financial and lapsed members, renewals, event registrations, and committee communications, with a REST API and webhooks Modulout can build against. So the partnership is a simple, two-way referral. TidyHQ customers who need that kind of integration work go to Modulout. Modulout clients who need a CRM come to TidyHQ, and Modulout plugs it in. Your competition platform keeps running the game. TidyHQ holds the members. Modulout connects them.

  • We refer TidyHQ clubs and leagues that want fixtures, results, live scores, or a custom website integration to Modulout’s sports data integration team
  • Modulout refers clients who need a CRM for their members to TidyHQ, and connects it to their website through the TidyHQ REST API and webhooks
  • We’re open to mutual customers: clubs that run their website with Modulout and their members in TidyHQ, with each team looking after its own side

Where your fixtures data meets your club CRM

Fixtures and results on the website, members in TidyHQ

The league’s fixtures and results come from a provider or competition platform that offers an API or a CSV, XML, or JSON export. Modulout maps that feed into the league website on a schedule, so the draw page updates without anyone retyping it. The “Join” and “Renew” buttons on the same site go to TidyHQ, where the registrar sees every financial member in one list. Two systems, one website, nobody copying names between them.

A fixture changes, and the right people hear about it

Modulout builds sports data alerts that fire on fixture changes and result imports, posting to the club’s Telegram or Discord channel for supporters and players. The formal notice — the washout, the venue change, the rescheduled final — still goes to financial members by email from TidyHQ, because that is where their contact details are kept current. Supporters see it on their phones. Members get it in their inbox.

Member-only content tied to who has actually paid

Modulout builds protected content and access rules for membership sites, usually tied to Stripe or PayPal subscription status. For a TidyHQ club, the record of who is financial already lives in TidyHQ, so the access check can read membership status from the TidyHQ API instead of a second subscription list. Match replays, coaching resources, AGM papers: behind a login that follows renewals, scoped as a Modulout feature sprint.

The inherited WordPress site with three membership plugins

Modulout’s pitch to site owners is blunt: inherited a messy WordPress build? Send the site, and they will say what is worth keeping, what to replace, and what it takes to make it fast again. For a club, the membership plugins are usually first to go. Member records move to TidyHQ, the club’s WordPress forms connect to TidyHQ, and Modulout keeps the public site fast and updated under a managed care plan.

The feed breaks on a Friday night

Data feeds change without warning. Modulout builds monitoring into its integrations — operational alerts for failed imports, API errors, and webhook exceptions, plus admin dashboards that show integration health — so the club finds out before Saturday’s draw page is wrong, not after. Member data in TidyHQ is unaffected either way: the website shows the fixtures, TidyHQ keeps the members.

Common questions

Competition software tracks the game: teams, draws, fixtures, results, and ladders. A sports club CRM tracks the people: who is a financial member, who has lapsed, who volunteered last season, who owes fees, and how to reach them. Most clubs need both. TidyHQ is the CRM and membership layer, designed to sit alongside the competition, fixtures, and officiating tools a club or league already uses rather than replace them.

Neither does. TidyHQ does not run competition management, fixtures, live scoring, or refereeing; it runs memberships, renewals, events, payments, communications, and committee admin. Modulout does not run competitions either; it is a sports tech agency that connects data feeds, member data, payments, and messaging into your website.

If the data is available through an API or a file export, yes. Modulout connects live scores, fixtures, match schedules, results, standings, and statistics from Goalserve (where they are an official partner), other sports data APIs, custom endpoints, and CSV, XML, or JSON feeds, synced on a schedule or in real time. For community competitions, the source is usually your competition platform’s own export or API, so check what yours offers before scoping.

Modulout builds integrations against REST APIs and webhooks, and TidyHQ provides both, with OAuth 2.0 authentication. Typical builds include member-only content, join and renewal flows that land in TidyHQ, and member information shown on the club website. Each build is scoped with Modulout directly; their process defines endpoints, authentication, data mapping, sync rules, and failure states before development starts.

Modulout monitors the integrations it builds, reviews errors, updates data mappings, and adjusts workflows when a provider changes something. Their builds can include alerts for failed imports and API errors, and dashboards that show integration health.

No. TidyHQ runs memberships and admin; your WordPress site stays your public website. Modulout specialises in WordPress — custom themes, plugins, performance, and managed care — and also does custom builds, so clubs can keep their site, tidy it up, and connect it to TidyHQ rather than starting again.
