CLUBMAP
Australia’s leading community-sport planning consultancy — trusted by 7,500+ volunteer administrators from 3,000+ clubs across 65 sports.
About CLUBMAP
CLUBMAP started in 2015 as TD Solutions, founded by Terry Dillon and Chris Connolly — two lifelong sports people who noticed community clubs were struggling, amalgamating, or folding. They built TDS to take top-tier thinking to the grassroots, and it worked. For five years, the firm helped volunteer administrators rediscover success and fun in their community clubs and plan for a brighter future.
In 2021, TDS became CLUBMAP — a more dynamic ally for community clubs. The team now includes co-founders Mark Campbell and Chris Connolly (84-game AFL player, former Hawthorn and Fremantle coach), CEO Terry Dillon (CPA, MBA, former senior AFL executive), COO Jon Knudsen (ex-Hawthorn FC), and Clare Therese leading customer service from Queensland. CLUBMAP today partners with major community groups and commercial organisations to support 7,500+ volunteer administrators across 3,000+ clubs in 65 sports — locally and internationally.
Their core offering is workshops: the CLUBMAP Planning Workshop (2 hours, covering operational, revenue, and strategic plans), the Premium Planning Package (planning plus implementation), the Strategic Planning Workshop (long-term direction, mission, vision, values), and Topic-Specific Workshops tailored to a club’s needs. Together they give committees a structured way to think about the next year — and the next five.
The partnership
CLUBMAP and TidyHQ partner because we work the same problem from two sides. CLUBMAP gives community clubs the plan — what to focus on, how to govern, how to grow revenue, how to plan strategically. TidyHQ gives them the platform underneath — memberships, events, payments, and communications that make the plan executable instead of theoretical.
- Clubs and leagues that come through a CLUBMAP workshop can adopt TidyHQ on partner terms
- CLUBMAP references TidyHQ in their planning workshops where club admin tooling is part of the recommendation
- Joint content for committees on closing the gap between a plan on paper and a working operation
