Townsville Community Information Centre
The trusted front door for community services across North Queensland — 60+ member organisations, run by volunteers, serving a city of 200,000.
About CIC Townsville
CIC Townsville sits at the intersection of social services, health, education, arts, and council — helping Townsville residents find the right local service, at the right time. They are sponsored by Townsville City Council and supported by a network of 60+ member organisations.
The centre runs primarily on volunteer power, with a small professional team holding it together. Their programs — Together Townsville Networks, the BRAVE Podcast, new resident packs, training workshops, and community newsletter distribution — are how member organisations across North Queensland stay connected to each other and to the people they serve.
The partnership
CIC Townsville and TidyHQ share a mission: helping small community organisations spend less time on admin and more time on impact. We partner with the centre to support its network — the small charities, sporting clubs, arts groups, and service organisations across North Queensland who need a single place to run memberships, events, payments, and communications without hiring an admin team.
- Member organisations in the CIC Townsville network can access TidyHQ on partner terms
- CIC runs information sessions and training that includes TidyHQ alongside their wider community connection work
- TidyHQ contributes to the centre’s capacity-building work for volunteer-run organisations across North Queensland
