The organisation
Palmerston and Regional Basketball Association (PaRBA) was founded in 2014. By 2019, PaRBA had won the Good Sports National Club Champion of the Year and the Australian Volunteer of the Year award. PaRBA now runs programs from Peewees (ages 2-5) through to representative teams, Youth Drop-in Sports, walking basketball for seniors, Streetball for at-risk youth, disability programs, and a Level Up Esports division.
