Glen Waverley Football Netball Club
“From U9s kicking their first goals to senior footy under lights — the Hawks have been part of Melbourne's eastern suburbs since 1973.”
Club Administrator, Club Secretary
The organisation
The Glen Waverley Football Netball Club — the Hawks — was founded in 1973. The club grew to a 320-player junior program, expanded into senior football in 2005, and added netball in 2020. Seven former players progressed to VFL/AFL football, including Michael Pickering who captained Richmond.
The challenge
A suburban club spanning junior football development, senior men's football, netball, and social programs generates enormous admin complexity. Thirty-one membership levels cover every combination of age group, sport, and membership type — all with rotating volunteers.
How TidyHQ helped
TidyHQ has been the Hawks' platform since September 2016 — over 9 years. The club runs 10 TidyHQ apps. Thirty-one membership tiers handle every player category. Custom domain at glenwaverleyfnc.com.au and custom mail domain give the club a professional face. Mailchimp, Zoom, events, meetings, shop, and document storage round out the stack.
The outcome
Volunteer time is finite. Glen Waverley Football Netball Club now spends it where it matters — on their members, not on admin.
- 9+ — years running on TidyHQ since 2016
- 10 — TidyHQ apps actively used
- 31 — membership levels across football, netball, and social
From their public website to membership renewals to event management, Glen Waverley Football Netball Club handles it all from one dashboard. New committee members inherit a working system, not a collection of logins and spreadsheets.
