Corowa Rutherglen Football Netball Club
“Two towns, one club. The Roos have produced AFL coaches John Longmire and David Teague, won senior premierships in 2000 and 2003, and continue to be a breeding ground for elite talent in the Ovens and Murray.”
Club Administrator, Club Secretary
The organisation
The Corowa-Rutherglen Roos were born in 1979 when the Corowa Spiders and Rutherglen Redlegs merged — uniting two Murray River towns separated by 20 kilometres and a state border. Competing in the Ovens and Murray Football Netball League, the Roos have produced notable AFL talent including John Longmire (511 goals in 200 games for North Melbourne, now Sydney's longest-serving coach).
The challenge
Running a dual-code club across football and netball means separate registrations, separate ladders, and separate compliance requirements — but one committee, one canteen, and one set of books. With 28 membership levels and financial reconciliation through Xero, the club needs a system that talks to everything.
How TidyHQ helped
TidyHQ runs the Roos since 2020 with 9 integrated apps. All 28 membership levels are managed with online registration. Xero integration eliminates double-entry. Slack integration pushes committee notifications. The custom domain and mail domain give the club a professional face. Events, shop, and meetings round out operations.
The outcome
With 7 TidyHQ features in active use, Corowa Rutherglen Football Netball Club runs their entire operation from one platform.
- 6+ — years running on TidyHQ
- 9 — integrated apps across operations, finances, and comms
- 28 — membership levels — football, netball, juniors, social, sponsors
Members renew online and register for events through the same platform. The committee spends less time on logistics and more time building the community.
