βœ—

Your donor CRM, events, and email live in separate tools

Donorfy for donors. Eventbrite for the gala. Mailchimp for the newsletter. Xero for accounts. A regular donor who attended last week's event isn't on the email segment for this week's appeal. Everything syncs manually or not at all.

Annual reporting is a reconstruction project

Every year the trustees ask for income by source, programme spend, and donor breakdown. Your treasurer rebuilds it from Xero plus three spreadsheets. It takes a week and still doesn't quite match last year's numbers.

How TidyHQ fixes it.

βœ“

Donor records with lifetime giving history

Every donor has one record covering giving history, contact preferences, and consent status. Segment for targeted appeals without exporting from four tools. Members, donors, event attendees, and volunteers in one database.

βœ“

Categorised finance and governance records your trustees can use

Income by source, expenditure by category, trustee changes, and programme data tracked in real time. Your annual reporting draws from clean categorised data instead of a spreadsheet rebuild. TidyHQ doesn't file with any regulator β€” but the underlying figures are ready.

βœ“

Trustee governance tools

Board meeting agendas, minutes with trustee action items, declarations of interest, and 25 GB document storage for policies, safeguarding, and constitutional documents. Survives trustee transitions.

Questions people ask.

Is TidyHQ a good fit for small UK charities?+

Yes. TidyHQ is built for small charities (typically under Β£1m income), whether you report to the Charity Commission, the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator, or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland. Donor records, events, and trustee governance in one platform. Charities under 20 contacts run free.

Does TidyHQ handle UK Gift Aid claims?+

No. Gift Aid declaration capture and HMRC claim exports are not currently TidyHQ features. Charities that rely on Gift Aid typically run a dedicated tool (e.g. Donorfy, Beacon, Salesforce NPSP) for that piece and use TidyHQ for donor records, events, and governance.

Can TidyHQ produce data for our annual trustee reporting?+

TidyHQ tracks income by source, expenditure by programme, trustee roles, and programme data in real time. Your trustees can draw on that categorised data when writing their annual report β€” but TidyHQ doesn't generate or file regulator-specific returns. The narrative report and the regulator-specific form still happen outside TidyHQ.

Does TidyHQ work for charities in Scotland or Northern Ireland?+

Yes. TidyHQ's financial tracking and governance tools are regulator-agnostic β€” income categorisation and trustee governance work the same whether you're reporting to the Charity Commission, the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator, or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland. Each regulator's return format differs, and those forms are completed outside TidyHQ.

Can TidyHQ replace Donorfy, Eventbrite, and Mailchimp?+

For most small charities, yes. TidyHQ consolidates donor CRM, events, email, and basic accounting. Larger charities with complex fundraising operations may keep Donorfy and use TidyHQ for events, memberships, and dues β€” with Xero sync for accounts. Charities with deep major-donor cultivation workflows typically keep a dedicated CRM.

What does TidyHQ cost for a UK charity?+

Free for charities under 20 contacts, including full features. Pro is Β£37/month (billed annually) for larger charities, with a 1% + 10p GBP service fee on transactions plus payment processor fees. Registered charities can ask about additional nonprofit pricing.
