# New: Event Check-In on Your Phone

## Paper Lists Are Over

We have released event check\-in through the TidyHQ mobile interface\. Pull up the event on your phone or tablet\. See the attendee list\. Tap a name when they arrive\. Done\.

Attendance is recorded against the member's profile\. After the event, you have a clean record of who came \- no deciphering handwriting, no data entry from paper into a spreadsheet\.

## How It Works

Open the event in TidyHQ on your phone\. You see the list of registered attendees\. As each person arrives, tap their name\. A green tick confirms check\-in\. For walk\-ins, add them on the spot\.

The check\-in works on any smartphone or tablet\. No app to download \- it runs in the browser\.

## Why Attendance Data Matters

Event attendance is one of the strongest predictors of member engagement\. Members who attend events are more likely to renew\. Members who stop attending are at risk of lapsing\.
